DRILLING
IN ABERTA TO START
International
Sovereign Energy Corp. (the “Company”) reports that a drilling
rig is on location at Grimshaw 10-17-84-22W5 in the Peace
River area, Alberta where the Company holds a 75% working
interest. The well is targeting a cretaceous sand gas zone.
Upon completion the rig will move to Berwyn 2-11-84-1W5 also
in the Peace River (a 100% working interest well) where the
target is also a cretaceous gas zone.
At
Medicine River 5-30-38-2W5 where the Company holds a 64% working
interest a second rig is being mobilized and drilling is expected
to commence within the next forty eight hours. The well
is targeting both Edmonton and Belly River gas zones. At Sinclair,
Manitoba where the Company has a farm-in agreement on two
blocks the drilling of the two scheduled 1,050 m wells targeting
Bakken formation light 40 ° API oil drilling has been delayed
due to a provincial road ban. These two wells will now be
drilled after spring break-up. Planning for the balance of
the first half 2006 drill program is progressing as scheduled.
