Domestic Drilling Update

International Sovereign Energy Corp. (the "Company") reports the recently drilled Berwyn step out well, which was drilled to a depth of 850m, was abandoned after log results were interpreted. This exploratory well encountered gas but unfortunately was not commercially viable. The Company still has an estimated 300 Boe/d of behind pipe production based on logs within the current producing Berwyn wellbores and is currently evaluating the options to bring the production online this year, with the major factor being current natural gas prices.

The Company has plans during the balance of 2009 to further explore & develop the Berwyn/Grimshaw area, as well as continue to explore new areas within the Peace River arch later this winter. The Company's remaining drilling program currently has 3 - 4 more wells planned for the balance of the year, with a focus of diversifying its product mix more towards oil.
