Resignation of President and Chief Executive Officer

International Sovereign Energy Corp. ("ISR" or the "Company") announces resignation of its President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Eugene Hretzay effective December 31, 2009. The ISR board of directors has appointed Mr. Sharad Mistry, Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation, as interim Chief Executive Officer and is in the process of searching for candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer.

The Board and Management of ISR acknowledge Mr. Hretzay's contribution and express their appreciation for his service to the Company. Mr. Hretzay will continue to serve as a director of ISR.

International Sovereign Energy Corp. is an oil and gas exploration development and production company with offices in Calgary, Alberta, active in the exploration and development of hydrocarbon reserves in Western Canada.
